 CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT ON CAMPUS/ONLINE
SLCC has a great opportunity for students to take CE classes on campus.  There are many classes offered at each of the physical SLCC locations. Students will be attending classes with other regular adult college students but still pay $5/credit. There are only a handful of classes that are offered as CE on campus and there are only a limited number of CE seats in those classes. Students may choose to take CE on campus for several reasons which may include:
  • CE class is not offered at their high school
  • CE class at the high school is full
  • Student does not have enough room in their high school schedule to take the CE class they want/need

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR CE ON CAMPUS/ONLINE?
STEP 1: Review the PDF list of courses available through Concurrent On-Campus and identify between 1 to 3 classes that they are interested in taking.  Write down the CRN (located in the first column) for those specific courses.  (Students are limited to 3 Concurrent on Campus classes per semester. No exceptions.)

STEP 2: Meet with or email Mrs. Whitefield, Ms. Madsen or Mrs. Ward in the Career Center to make sure that (1) it will work with your high school schedule and (2) you meet all high school and SLCC eligibility requirements to take those courses, pick up the registration form.

STEP 3: You and your parent or guardian sign the Concurrent On-Campus MOU and complete the registration form. Turn in both forms to the CE Office.

STEP 4: Once all submitted forms are approved, the Career Center will complete and submit an electronic course request form to SLCC for the student.

STEP 5: The SLCC CE Office removes the registration lock on the requested classes so the student can self-register for those classes.

STEP 6: The student will register themselves for the class(es) if seats are available. Typically the student is able to self-register after 24 -48 hours of the Career Center submitting the request form.

AT END OF THE SEMESTER: The CE office sends the high school a grade report at the end of each semester and the high school records that grade on the student’s high school transcript.
